I have a 2022, Fender, made in Japan Traditional 60s Precision bass. In my experience at least, I was pleased that the Obsidian Wire Precision bass harness fitted the pickguard holes perfectly, and the shafts of the harness aligned to each hole in the pickguard. I also added Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups and a Fender HiMass bridge. My bass plays and sounds awesome now. Definitely recommend Obsidian Wire...I purchased another two harnesses today for my other Fender Precision basses.
The HH kit is my second Obsidian Wire product. For someone like me who doesn't want to delve into soldering, this is a worthwhile product. Installation is straight forward. I'm still fairly new with respect to pickup swapping, so after encountering an issue, customer service was able to get me sorted out very quickly. The coil split functionality is great at delivering more sounds. Highly recommended.
Fits like a hand in a glove, also replaced the speed knobs with top hats ...much better feel over the Asian pots. Also love the 50 and 60's wiring switches and coil splits ...options abound. These guitars sound pretty good stock but Obsidian wire brings really brings them to life. Highly recommended. I've also done two telecaster with their 4-way kits ...excellent, so easy to switch out pickups!
Outstanding wiring harness!!! Easy install and my axe sounds wonderful now, big improvement over the stock wiring. Also, BIG shoutout to the customer service team for working with me through the replacement of a busted tone pot—they truly care about their customers, and I recommend this product to guitarists all the time!!!
